You’ll like this jazz. It’s more accessible than classical jazz, less discordant than Chicago Avant, and has a hint of R&B and Rock & Roll.

What do you think, that we are composers? It’s almost all covers--jazz standards that your mom and dad grew up with. It’ll be a good education for you.

Just jazz?
Actually, no. Attending a Who Needs Dave? performance is always a treat, because the band always slips in one or two outrageous Funk or World Music pieces. Further musical styles are being evaluated by the band's Director of Research & Development, so stay tuned.

What's the bottom line?
The Who Needs Dave? Jazz Ensemble puts on a good show that pleases sensibilities ranging from the uninitiated to the highly urbane, all for a good price.
